Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started?

After contacting us via the contact form or by calling, a member of our treatment team will return your call generally within two business days. There will be an initial 15 minute free phone consultation, where we will discuss your presenting concerns and reasons for seeking therapy at present. Should we determine that Atlas Psychology Group is the appropriate setting for your needs, we will get you scheduled for your intake with the therapist of your choice.

What is the intake process?

The intake is a 90 minute process in which you will complete a 60 minute clinical interview with your new therapist, followed by a 30 minute feedback session 1-2 weeks later. During this feedback session, your therapist will share their initial diagnostic impressions and discuss a treatment plan moving forward. The fee for the entire 90 minute intake process is $350.

What does therapy look like?

Our therapy sessions are 45-50 minutes and typically occur once weekly. There may be circumstances in which therapy occurs more or less frequently depending upon diagnosis and client needs. Additionally, there may be some clients for whom 60 minute sessions are more appropriate. The duration and frequency of sessions is an important conversation that will be agreed upon between client and therapist. We believe the process of therapy should be a collaborative one, with client and therapist working together to determine goals for treatment and monitoring progress towards those goals together as treatment progresses. There is no pre-determined length of time for the course of treatment, as client needs often tend to evolve as treatment progresses. Ultimately our clients, working together with their therapist, will determine when they are ready to terminate or alter the frequency of therapy sessions. The cost of therapy sessions is $195 per 45-50 minute session, or $220 for longer 60 minute sessions, due at the time of your appointment. Payments can be made through our online client portal. We do ask that appointments are canceled or rescheduled 24 hours prior to the therapy appointment if needed.

Do you take insurance?

Atlas Psychology Group is a private, self-pay practice, so insurance is not accepted directly at this time. Clients are welcome to submit any claims to their insurance company independently if they wish to do so.
